The Massachusetts Clean Water Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees. Board of Trustee meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month.

Deborah B. Goldberg, Chair
Massachusetts Treasurer and Receiver General

Deborah B. Goldberg is the Massachusetts State Treasurer and Receiver General. In that role she is responsible for the state’s cash and debt management, unclaimed property, and chairs state boards and commissions, including the Massachusetts School Building Authority, the Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, the State Board of Retirement, Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, and the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust. Matthew Gorzkowicz, Vice-Chair
Secretary of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Administration and Finance

Matthew Gorzkowicz is the Secretary of the Executive Office for Administration and Finance. He has more than 25 years' experience in state finance and budgeting in the Commonwealth. He has served as the Associate Vice President for Administration and Finance at the University of Massachusetts President's Office for more than a decade, where he has had a direct role in setting the University’s long-range administrative and financial goals and managed the development of an annual operating budget of $3.8 billion. Bonnie Heiple, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection

Bonnie Heiple is an environmental and energy lawyer who practiced at the law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr (WilmerHale) for many years. Her environmental work included developing best-in-class compliance systems related to a broad spectrum of state and federal requirements and advising clients on ESG and other rapidly evolving issues. She also represented groups of companies that led the remediation of contaminated properties, including a number of sites that were subsequently repurposed to host renewable energy generation and storage facilities.
