Carleigh started with MassDOT in 2022 after receiving both their master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Northeastern University.
With degree concentrations in environmental science and policy, joining MassDOT as an environmental analyst seemed like the perfect fit.
Carleigh’s primary roles are ensuring that proposed projects comply with certain state and federal regulations (Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act and National Environmental Policy Act) and collaborating with project managers and design consultants alike to meet project deadlines and goals. Carleigh also participates in field research and project site review.
In their spare time, Carleigh enjoys traveling and has been to Japan four times. Carleigh also enjoys tending to their indoor plant collection and taking care of their four-year-old Pacific parrotlet named Stinky.
