Fifth, Independent Member Position Available on the
BRAINTREE CONTRIBUTORY RETIREMENT BOARD
The Braintree Retirement Board is seeking letters of interest from interested persons for the fifth and independent member of the Braintree Retirement Board, to be appointed pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 32 § 20(4)(c), term to be effective upon appointment by the Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission, for a three-year period. This Director, Thursday, August 21, 2025, to the Braintree Retirement Office, c/o Ryan Horan, 74 Pond Street, 21d Floor, Braintree, MA 02184 or via email at: rhoran@braintreema.gov. Applicants should be prepared to be available for interviews on the afternoon of August 28, 2025.
Retirement Board Member are Required To:
• File an Annual Statement of Financial Interest with PERAC detailing personal assets
• Complete Conflict of Interest and Ethics training biannually
• Develop knowledge of Massachusetts Open Meeting Law
• Develop knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 32
• Attend meetings, seminars and educational training as necessary
• Complete 18 hours of training during their term in order to continue to serve on the Board.
