Goshen | Reconstruction of gravel road Hyde Hill. It is a major connector from Goshen to neighboring Williamsburg and Chesterfield. The road is often impassable during mud season, which has increased due to climate change which can range from Feb to May. This leads to difficult and dangerous navigation for all traffic and presents particular issues for school buses and public safety vehicles, which must pass on this connector road. Great Barrington | A section of West Sheffield Road connecting the Town of Great Barrington and Sheffield has been reduced to an alternating one-way traffic due to a slope failure. The Town has surveyed the roadway and would like to shift the roadway away from the slope failure and use the rock material from the intended roadway path to stabilize the failed slope. Hinsdale | Hinsdale is seeking a $1 million MassWorks grant to complete the second phase of our three-phase, 2.6-mile Schnopp Roads Project. The interconnected roads run from Dalton to the Peru town limit along the northwest side of Cleveland Reservoir and Lake Ashmere. Lanesborough | Brodie Mountain Road is approximately 1.55 miles long which is an east-west route between Route 7 and Route 43 and is the only easterly access to Jiminy Peak Mountain resort and Vacation Village. The roadway is deteriorating and requires resurfacing, highway guard upgraded; a centerline rumble strip and slotted pavement markers added. Lee | Beartown Mountain Road serves as an access route for multiple communities to Beartown Mountain State Forest. The pavement, wooden bollards, and several culverts have failed. The Beartown Mountain Road Project aims to improve the safety of the road. Leverett | Dudleyville Road is a gravel road connecting the village of North Leverett, where the town’s only grocery store is located, to the neighboring Town of Shutesbury. The road has residences on it and is a school bus route. It suffers from unmanaged stormwater, very poor drainage, including collapsed and damaged culverts, and it periodically has been closed to traffic due to impassible conditions. Longmeadow | A development proposal has passed Town Meeting to expand the Town's primary commercial corridor, Town Shoppes, by redeveloping a vacant lot and defunct church at the major crossroads which anchor this economic hub. Lynn | The City is pursuing funding for the design/engineering of the rehabilitation of Market St. sidewalks between Broad St and City Hall Sq, a major thoroughfare and economic corridor. Maynard | Design for upgrades to the existing pump station and force main located on Powder Mill Road. The existing force main is a critical sewer system asset since the force main conveys approximately 70% of the Town’s sewerage from the PMPS to the wastewater treatment plant. Middleborough | Project includes a 16-inch cement lined ductile iron water main 2,250ft extension along Rt 28. Utilities and water main to extend into the site include jacking sleeves under railroad crossing. The site access road will intersect Rt 28 at a divided entrance/exit lane with lanes separated by a raised median to improve safety and sight lines. Middleton | The Town is finalizing the approval for 60 units of housing and 19KSF retail at the SW corner of the Route 62/114 intersection. In 2025, the Town Offices will be relocated, and the land east of the intersection designated for future housing development. A successful grant would design, permit, and reconstruct the intersection to improve capacity and safety for all users. Milford | The Town will prepare final design plans and construction bid documents for roadway and traffic control improvements to Rt 109, converting Beaver St to two-way traffic to Birch St. This will include roadway geometric and traffic signal equipment modifications at the intersections of Rt 109 and Beaver St, and Rt 109 and the I-495 SB off ramp. North Adams | This project will focus on repairing and upgrading sidewalks on Hoosac St., Blackinton St., Elmwood Ave., Montana St., and Porter St. in North Adams. All of these sidewalks are interconnected and within walking distance of the city’s downtown. The planned improvements include the replacement and resetting of curbing, upgrading concrete sidewalks and integral curbs, drainage enhancements, compliance with US ADA and MAAB accessibility standards, and reconstruction of driveway aprons and curb cuts. | $888,000 |
North Andover | The Town is seeking funds to fully design, engineer, and permit what are now conceptual plans for streetscape improvements in its downtown, from the intersection of Main and Sutton Street, to the intersection of Water and High Street (including some areas of side streets off of Main Street). Orange | The proposed project would fund a design to replace aging water lines and repave the road surface and sidewalks along West Main Street (Route 2A). This would have a twofold benefit. One is upgrading the infrastructure along a main road into downtown, supporting additional development, which is currently limited by the state of the road and water lines. Peru | One of the challenges Peru faces is providing safe travel throughout the town while maintaining the natural beauty of the town. Russell | The project would dig-up the existing 1200 foot long cracked and damaged culvert running along, and under Blandford Stage Road. In its current state the cracks in the culvert are creating sinkholes in the residence property abutting the culvert on the southerly side and sinkholes under the guard rail on the northerly side of Blandford Stage Road. Debris continues to fall into the culvert from the widening cracks in the old pipe used to construct the culvert. | $180,000 |

Spencer | The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MA DOT) will upgrade approximately one mile of Route 9 in Spencer as part of a TIP project. Stockbridge | Tuckerman Warren Truss Bridge Replacement, New Water Utility Service Line, MassDOT Bridge No. S-26-002,Glendale Middle Road Over Housatonic River, Berkshire County Massachusetts. Topsfield | The Town is finalizing the approval for a bridge superstructure and traffic safety improvement project at the Washington Street intersection with Fish Brook. The structure's existing guardrail condition is serious while the superstructure's is fair. Townsend | The pedestrian bridge, known as the Walk Bridge, is adjacent to Route 13 and is used by students to get to and from the Hawthorne Brook Middle school as well as pedestrians to visit the Townsend Library, senior center, and police station. MassDOT found that the 100' Walk Bridge is severely deteriorated and in need of replacement. Temporary support beams have been put in place to allow access for the time being.
