To promote good government and best practices in public procurement, the Inspector General is encouraging every public school district in the Commonwealth to have at least one public school employee with a current MCPPO designation. The NEW One Free Designee - Schools program is available for any public school district, regional public school district, and education collaborative and to those who are currently enrolled but have not yet completed the courses and continuing education credits to earn the MCPPO designation or renewal. Participants in the One Free Designee - Schools program must enroll and complete all required coursework between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.

One Free Designee - Schools allows each public school district free tuition for the three classes, valued at $1,785, required for one employee to receive the MCPPO designation. Upon completion of the classes, an employee can apply for the MCPPO designation.

Applicants must be authorized by the Superintendent of Schools or Education Collaborative Executive Director. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We will regretfully reject any applications that do not meet these requirements.

Individuals eligible for this program may work with their Superintendent or Executive Director to fill out the One Free Designee – Schools application.
