Male Jurisdiction Population

Updated monthly (12/1/2024)

  • 5,992 total males in the jurisdiction population: 5,583 criminally sentenced, 9 pre-trial detainees, and 400 civil commitments 
  • Average age of inmate was 44 years old (youngest inmate was 18 years old and oldest inmate was 90 years old)
  • 97% were serving a sentence of more than three years 
  • 75% had a violent governing offense 
  • 315 were serving a governing mandatory drug sentence

  • The 2019 three-year recidivism rate was 26% for the total male population

  • 244 total females in the jurisdiction population: 195 criminally sentenced, 37 pre-trial detainees, and 12 civil commitments
  • Average age of inmate was 42 years old (youngest inmate was 20 years old and oldest inmate was 78 years old) 
  • 92% were serving a sentence of more than three years 
  • 68% had a violent governing offense 
  • 17 were serving a governing mandatory drug sentence
