Mass Ave/Harvard Bridge safety improvements

MassDOT will make improvements along the Mass Ave corridor and Harvard Bridge to help reduce speeding and enhance bike safety.

The Massachusetts Avenue Safety Improvements project aims to improve safety for all users along the corridor by reducing the number of travel lanes from two to one lane in each direction, introducing buffered bicycle lanes, and improving transit operations at the Beacon Street and Memorial Drive intersections.
