Monthly Local Aid Payments from the Treasury

The Cash Management Department distributes monthly local aid payments to our cities and towns.

Local aid is appropriated in the state budget and is primarily comprised of Chapter 70 (public education) local aid and unrestricted general government aid. These disbursements are made on a monthly basis. Quarterly payments of meals taxes and occupancy taxes due to cities and towns are also made. In addition, urban redevelopment payments are made semi-annually toward regional districts and charter schools.
