MOVA drives public policy and legislative advocacy to promote the rights of crime victims.
Each legislative session, MOVA advances and promotes a comprehensive legislative package endorsed by the Victim and Witness Assistance Board, which includes both MOVA-sponsored and independently filed bills. As a state agency distributing federal and state funds, MOVA formally positions itself on relevant federal and state legislation affecting survivors both within and beyond the Commonwealth.
