Municipal Waste Combustor Emissions Reports

Learn about the air quality impacts of the state's waste-to-energy facilities.

There are seven waste-to-energy facilities in Massachusetts. Together, they burn more than one-third of the solid waste generated in our state. Most of these facilities need to submit periodic emissions reports to MassDEP. They must also notify the agency when their emissions exceed specific limits. You can use this service to view facility emissions, monitoring and compliance information. You may filter the data by unit, reporting period, type of report, and pollution parameter.
