On December 20, 2022, a Hampden County grand jury issued an indictment charging Mr. Dombek with one count of perjury and one count of larceny over $1,200. According to the allegations in the indictment, Mr. Dombek committed perjury when he filed an affidavit with the Hampden County Retirement Board falsely claiming that a retired public employee who had died earlier in 2019 was still alive. Mr. Dombek also claimed the deceased man had given him power of attorney to collect the man’s pension. Between November 2019 and September 2020, Mr. Dombek allegedly collected $27,111 from the pension board.

Mr. Dombek is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
