- State Library of Massachusetts
Our trip through the 13 original colonies by way of their state birds continues this month with the bluebird (Audubon plate 113), New York's State Bird. This print serves double duty, as it also allows us to share one of our favorite Women’s History tidbits, that in 1915, Massachusetts suffragettes used the bluebird as a symbol of their movement. Read more in our blog and visit us from March 10 through March 31 to see the bluebirds on display.
