IG Glenn A. Cunha issued a letter to the Plymouth County Commissioners recommending that the Commissioners assign the responsibility for administering CARES Act funds to the Commonwealth. Plymouth County’s governance is completely separate from the 27 individual communities within the boundaries of Plymouth County. Plymouth County, as a governmental entity, does not have the capacity or expertise to distribute the $90 million in federal funds that it received efficiently and effectively.
