News  Newly-Appointed Court Leaders address Chief Probation Officer Association Conference

The Massachusetts Chief Probation Officers Association (CPOA) held its Winter Conference at the Lakeview Pavilion in Foxboro on Thursday where Probation and court leaders addressed the 65 CPOs who traveled from across the state.

The Chief Probation Officer Association and Commissioner of Probation Pamerson Ifill.

Probation Commissioner Pamerson Ifill and Trial Court Chief Justice Heidi Breiger, both newly-appointed, shared their thoughts and visions for the Massachusetts Probation Service and Massachusetts Trial Court respectively as they take on their new roles.

Commissioner Ifill was appointed on November 27. Chief Justice Heidi Brieger is set to begin her term in the new year. Trial Court Chief Justice Jeffrey Locke, who will retire this month, also spoke and bid the CPOA farewell as he nears the end of his term. In addition to the court leaders, technology expert and former FBI agent Steven Bradley did a presentation on “The Weaponization of Technology.”

District Region I-Laura E. Dion, Westfield District CPO

District Region II-Diane M. Massouh, Gardner District CPO

District Region III-Maureen T. McCole, Somerville District CPO

District Region IV-Michael L. Branch, Brockton District CPO

District Region V-Michael T. Dube, Boston Municipal Court (BMC)- Brighton

Juvenile-Kevin McClerklin, Suffolk Juvenile CPO

Probate and Family-Teresa M. Plante, Norfolk Probate & Family CPO

Superior-Sheila Moriarty, Franklin CPO

The CPOA is planning a May 9, 2024 Spring Conference at a location to be announced.
