The Massachusetts court system consists of the Supreme Judicial Court, the Appeals Court, the Executive Office of the Trial Court, the 7 Trial Court departments, the Massachusetts Probation Service, and the Office of Jury Commissioner.

Court system response to COVID-19

Massachusetts courts are conducting business virtually but courthouses remain closed to the public until July 13. Then, in accordance with SJC guidance, courthouses will physically reopen on a limited basis but will continue to conduct most business virtually. In-person proceedings will further expand as of August 10.
