- Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court
The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court invite interested Massachusetts attorneys to apply for appointment to a three-year term on the Standing Advisory Committee on Professionalism. The Committee oversees the implementation and administration of SJC Rule 3:16, which mandates that all lawyers take a course on professionalism within eighteen months of admission to the Massachusetts bar.
The Justices will be making two appointments to the Committee. Attorneys who are solo or in-house practitioners or who practice at smaller law firms are encouraged to apply. The Justices also seek applications from attorneys with DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) experience as well as from attorneys with legal experience working with historically underrepresented or underserved communities. Attorneys with diverse backgrounds and experiences, as well as those who practice outside of the immediate Boston metropolitan area, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Interested applicants should send a letter describing their experience and interest and a one-page resume to Anna Rachel Dray-Siegel, Assistant Legal Counsel, Supreme Judicial Court, at anna.dray-siegel@jud.state.ma.us by September 22, 2023. If you have questions about the application process or the position, please contact Anna.
