News  OIG Issues Guidance for Members of Public Boards and Commissions

The OIG prepared a guide for members of public boards and commissions.

As part of its ongoing commitment to improving government, the OIG has published a Guide for Members of Public Boards and Commissions. The OIG's guide outlines practices, such as upholding fiduciary principles, that will help board members understand their obligations and perform their duties effectively. The guide also provides an overview of the laws that apply to board members, including those relating to board meetings, official communications and individual conduct.
