Division of Occupational Licensure

Beginning in summer 2024, the DOL will begin the process of updating its core licensing and permitting systems.

The goal of this multi-year initiative is to:

Support the Commonwealth’s Digital Roadmap
Simplify doing business in Massachusetts
Maintain public safety and data security
Ensure a more efficient, modern and user-friendly experience, including online and mobile capability.

The new system will support licensing/permitting for over 100 trades and professions. Be on the lookout for future updates on this exciting project.
