Monica Johnson

Hello! My name is Monica (she/her/hers) and I am a 2nd-term elected member, as well as a newly elected Vice-Chair. My racial justice and activism work and experiences as a queer biracial woman connected me to the Commission back in college as an intern, and since then I have stayed excited about and engaged with the Commission's work. My experience in the MA Human Services field has included education, housing, racial justice, harm reduction, and many of the core issues we see impacting LGBTQ youth, and I look forward to hearing all of our experiences and perspectives as we continue our work and building of community!
