Now hiring Machine Shop Customer Process Coordinator, Contract Machine Shop Estimator & Maintenance Mechanic.

Machine Shop Customer Process Coordinator

The candidate would be experienced in interpreting engineering drawings, be well organized, fully computer oriented, with an eye for detail and structure in preparing estimates and other documents for both our customers and estimating team. Multi-tasking is a must and prior knowledge and experience in the area of machining or fabrication of machined components is required. Familiarization with outside processes such as heat treating and plating is a plus.

A mechanically inclined individual with very strong computer skills including but not limited to, Microsoft Applications Excel, Word, Power Point etc., any exposure to Visual ERP software is a huge plus, organizing and good communication skills would make up the ideal candidate.
Communicating internally with our estimating team and our customers would make up a large part of the day. The candidate would field through incoming requests for quotations of labor and materials, then distribute them to our estimating team, and also be called on to verify
outsourcing costs (heat treat, paint, plating processes) as the needs arise.

Hours would be M-F 7:00 - 4:30 with occasional Saturdays as the work load demands.

Salary would be commensurate with experience ranging from $55k - $70k annually.

Contract Machine Shop Estimator

The candidate would be experienced in interpreting engineering drawings, be well organized,
fully computer oriented, with an eye for detail and structure in preparing estimates and other
documents for both our customers and sales team. Multi-tasking is a must and prior knowledge and experience in the area of machining or fabrication of machined components is required.
Familiarization with outside processes such as heat treating and plating is a plus.

A former machinist with computer skills and a knack for organizing and good communication
skills would be the ideal candidate. Excellent communication skills with customers and
suppliers through email and web-based research is the predominant method. Preferred 10+
years experience in the machining or fabrication trade.

Hours would be M-F 7:00-4:30 with occasional Saturdays as the work load demands.

Salary would be commensurate with experience ranging from $70k-$90k annually.

Maintenance Mechanic

Experience in general machinery maintenance with some industrial electrical application experience included is a minimum requirement. Must also possess knowledge of and be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing of varied types of mechanical and machinery breakdowns. Individual must be physically capable of lifting loads up to 50 lbs., be comfortable working on ladders or elevated platforms, and be able to work in confined areas such as behind or beneath machinery in the course of diagnosing and repairs. FHP does provide all necessary labor saving devices for lifting tasks. Day to day work includes all machine (tool) preventative maintenance including complete coolant changes which involve a wash-down of the machine, dismantling of conveyors, bringing separate tanks and parts outdoors and power washing before reassembly. Candidate will perform monthly lifting hoist inspections. Responsible for full maintenance of both air compressors. Responsible for maintaining belts, pulleys and bearings on blower vents and HVAC. Participate in general maintenance on building and routine repairs. Occasionally build wooden shipping crates for transport of finish machined components. Outsourcing of any of the above tasks is taken into consideration depending on the circumstances.

This is a day shift, 40 hour per week minimum with additional overtime included depending on workload, occasional weekend work if a breakdown or machinery failure occurs.

Scheduled days are 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM with flexibility. In heavy storm conditions assisting with snow removal will be required.

Salary is commensurate with experience, the range would be from $55k- $90k annually.
