The FY26 Grant Application has closed. Please check back for updates regarding the FSIG program.
The Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program (FSIG) supports initiatives that improve food security and ensure equitable access to locally grown, raised, harvested, and caught foods by strengthening Massachusetts’ food supply chain. The program defines local food as products grown, raised, harvested, or produced and consumed within the Commonwealth, including food sourced from nearby states.
By funding infrastructure projects that enhance local food production, processing, and distribution, FSIG helps build a more resilient and equitable food system that nourishes communities, sustains businesses and workers, and protects natural resources. Eligible applicants include Massachusetts agricultural and seafood producers, processors, distributors, municipalities, tribes, nonprofits, and other food system entities. FY26 awards ranged from $10,000 - $1,000,000. Applicants selected for funding were provided with reimbursement grants and are required to contribute a 20% cash match.
