In July 2018, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded Boston Public Health Commission’s Boston EMS $30,532.87 of federal Section 405-c funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This funding is for its Boston Cyclist, Pedestrian & Vehicular Incident Information System Enhancement Project. This award was made through a competitive Availability of Grant Funding in spring 2017. This funding is currently being made available to Boston Public Health Commission’s Boston EMS through September 30, 2018.

EOPSS/OGR/HSD awards funds to MassDOT/RMV for traffic records projects

In March 2018, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded MassDOT/Registry of Motor Vehicles $196,802.46 of federal Section 405-c funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This funding is for its Data Quality Review of Crash Reports Accepted With Warning and Technical Assistance to Police Departments to Improve Completeness Project. This award was made through a competitive Availability of Grant Funding in spring 2016. This funding is currently being made available to MassDOT/RMV through September 30, 2018.

In July 2018, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded MassDOT/Registry of Motor Vehicles an additional $41,000 of cooperative agreement funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This funding is to continue its CY 2018 Fatality Analysis Reporting System work for NHTSA. This award was made through a Notice of Intent process in December 2017. This funding is currently being made available to MassDOT/RMV through December 31, 2018.

In July 2018, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded MassDOT/Registry of Motor Vehicles $45,131 of federal Section 405-c funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This funding is for its Crash Data System Law Enforcement Liaison Project. This award was made through a competitive Availability of Grant Funding in spring 2018. This funding is currently being made available to MassDOT/RMV through September 30, 2018.

In November 2017, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded the EOPSS/Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) $197,871.04 of federal Section 405-c funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to purchase additional in-cruiser printers and related hardware and supplies for state and local police related to the Motor Vehicle Automated Citation and Crash System. This set-aside funding is currently being made available to OTIS through September 30, 2018.

EOPSS/OGR/HSD awards funds to EOPSS/OTIS to support crucial citation and crash system

In September 2017, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded the EOPSS/Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) $600,000 of federal Section 405-c funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to purchase in-cruiser printers and related hardware and supplies for state and local police related to the Motor Vehicle Automated Citation and Crash System. This award was made through a Notice of Intent process. This funding is currently being made available to OTIS through September 30, 2018.

EOPSS/OGR/HSD awards funds to EOPSS/OTIS to continue upgrade on citation and crash system

In October 2017, the EOPSS/Office of Grants & Research/Highway Safety Division awarded the EOPSS/Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) $1,457,571.01 of federal Section 405-c, 402, and 1906 funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the further implementation of the Motor Vehicle Automated Citation and Crash System. This award was made through a Notice of Intent process. This funding is currently being made available to OTIS through September 30, 2018.
