Recruitment for Medical Review Organizations

These organizations work on behalf of the PERAC Disability Unit

The Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC) schedules Comprehensive Medical Evaluations (CME) for public sector disability retirees. The facilities/physicians providing these services are coordinated through a Medical Review Organization (MRO). An MRO is a health organization who provides medical services within a medical community (examples: hospital based occupational health unit, independent occupational health clinic, etc.). The MRO must meet the criteria described in the PERAC CME RFR for MROs and adhere to the conditions, follow procedures, and ensure the quality of the physician reports. The physicians within the MRO must also operate within the mandates of the RFR.

The RFR is not available at this time. Please check back soon for more details on the RFR and its availability.

If you have any questions concerning this process, please contact Jane Carritte, Clinical Nurse Case Manager at (617) 591-8953.
