Youth STEM Internship Opportunities

Why wait to begin getting hands on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math?

STEM jobs are expected to account for 25% of the total employment growth in the Commonwealth over the next ten years. High School internships can help students explore interests, gain skills for college and career, and prepare them for promising futures. High School students should connect with guidance counselors or parent/guardians to find out more about each opportunity.

Participants take part in paid short-term work placements during the summer and/or school year at public, private and nonprofit worksites.

Participants also receive training in core soft skills so they can practice professional behaviors and learn how to relate to supervisors and co-workers at their worksites. And they learn how to take the next steps in their education and career pathways.
