SPEECH: My name is Robert Dias, and I'm with the Massachusetts Office on Disability. I've had a disability my whole life. I'm visually impaired. 

Part of my primary role is to work with sister agencies to provide technical assistance surrounding digital accessibility.

SPEECH: I conduct a lot of screen share sessions and reviewing digital content. I am a screen reader user, so I share my screen, I share my sound, the screen reader output, and I'm reviewing digital content in real time. So I'm that objective eye from an accessibility standpoint.

SPEECH: The perception, I think, from the public with the state is that everything gets done the same way. That's just not the case. 

I and many of my peers who are blind, they need to be able to remain employed and be competitive in the employment space. 

And when these tools aren't accessible and you've deployed something that takes me four times longer to accomplish than my sighted peers, you're affecting my livelihood.
