Community Transit Grant Program

An annual competitive grant program to meet the mobility needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities. Provides funds for the purchase of vehicles, mobility management activities, and operating costs.

The Community Transit Grant Program (CTGP) awards funds to help meet the transportation and mobility needs of older adults and people with disabilities. This annual competitive program distributes Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310: Enhanced Mobility of Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities funds and State Mobility Assistance Program (MAP) funds.

The FY24 Operating and Mobility Management Cycle accepted applications in May and June 2023, with awards announced in November 2023. The FY24 Vehicle Cycle opened in November 2023, with applications due December 22, 2023. We anticipate announcing awards in April 2024.

Applications for the FY25 operating, mobility management, and vehicle cycles will open in fall 2024.
