Assisted Living Residences (ALR) Commission

The Assisted Living Residences Commission was created in 2025 with the enactment of Section 32 of Chapter 197 of the Acts of 2024: An Act to Improve Quality and Oversight of Long-Term Care.

The ALR Commission is responsible for studying the current landscape of assisted living residences to ensure the sector meets the evolving needs of our aging population. The commission is comprised of a diverse panel of industry experts, community stakeholders, and policymakers.

The preferred deadline to submit written testimony to the ALR Commission as part of the public hearing that was held on May 15, 2025 is 5:00pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Written testimony can be submitted via email to Francis.P.Sullivan2@mass.gov and William.Travascio@mass.gov.
