Attend a Rapid Response workshop

Virtual workshops hosted weekly for workers, including those impacted indirectly by federal government funding cuts.

Overview

Federal employees in Massachusetts who have been furloughed or laid off due to the federal government shutdown or funding cuts are invited to attend a free virtual workshop to learn about available career and support resources.

Workshops will be held every Tuesday for employees affected by the federal government shutdown and every Thursday for Massachusetts workers directly or indirectly impacted by ongoing federal funding cuts.

Topics covered:

  • UI benefits - how to apply, file weekly claims and get help.
  • What to do about health care benefits.
  • Expanding your job skills through training and educational programs.
  • Career guidance, job search help and other free resources.

The MassHire Department of Career Services will host these webinars on behalf of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. As part of the state’s Rapid Response initiative, the sessions are a collaborative effort among state and local agencies that provide support to individuals who have lost their jobs or are at risk of workforce reductions.
