Overview of Auditor Bump to Participate in Salvation Army’s Holiday Red Kettle Campaign
On Thursday, December 14, State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump will participate in the Salvation Army’s Holiday Red Kettle Campaign in Downtown Crossing as a bell ringer. This is the fourth year Auditor Bump has participated in the campaign.
The Red Kettle Campaign began in 1891. Funds raised through the Red Kettle Campaign support Salvation Army programs in Massachusetts - such as providing food and shelter to those in need, in addition to other services.
The Red Kettle Campaign runs through December 24 and has a goal of raising $3.5 million statewide.
