Overview of Bourne Rail Trail (Phase 2) - public information meeting
A Public Informational Meeting will be held by MassDOT to discuss the proposed Bourne Rail Trail (Phase 2) project in Bourne, MA.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Bourne Rail Trail (Phase 2) project. The Phase 2 project limits are from Monument Neck Road to Valley Bars Road – a total length of 2.08 miles. Audience will be provided context regarding project history, alternatives analysis, potential constraints, and impacts. All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
Proposal:
The proposed project – along with the other Phases – aims to connect the Cape Cod Canal bike path in Bourne to the Shining Sea Bikeway in Falmouth. The connection would create a regional off-road bike facility that would provide multimodal travel through the Towns of Bourne, Sandwich, and Falmouth.
