Public Meeting Notice Greenfield - deck replacement, Log Plain Road West Over G&W Railroad
Overview
A Virtual Public Informational Meeting will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the proposed project in Greenfield, MA.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed project. All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
Proposal:
The proposed project consists of replacing the existing bridge deck and roadway surface, sidewalk, bridge railings, and approach guardrails at each end. This will preserve the longevity of the bridge and improve safety conditions for pedestrians and vehicles. The proposed design will include a wider ADA compliant sidewalk with pedestrian curb ramps, ADA compliant and crash tested railing systems with protective fencing on each side of the bridge, bridge pavement overlay with approach roadway reconstruction, relocated overhead wires, and intersection improvements. The intersection improvements include roadway restriping, designated stopping locations, and modified roadway limits to improve driver functionality and visibility.
This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities. MassDOT provides reasonable accommodations and/or language assistance free of charge upon request (e.g interpreters in American Sign Language and languages other than English, live captioning, videos, assistive listening devices and alternate material formats), as available.
