Public Meeting Notice  Haverhill - Basiliere Bridge replacement

A Public Information Meeting will be hosted by MassDOT to present the replacement project for the Private First Class (PFC) Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge, H-12-007 & H-12-025, Bridge Street (SR 125) over the Merrimack River and the abandoned B&M RR (Proposed Bikeway), in Haverhill, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this public information meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed replacement of the PFC Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge H-12-007 & H-12-025, Bridge Street (SR 125) over the Merrimack River and the abandoned B&M RR (Proposed Bikeway) All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible. 

Proposal: 

The proposed project consists of fully replacing the PFC Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge. While the structure remains safe for all users, the bridge has reached the end of its useful lifespan and must be replaced. As part of the replacement project, MassDOT seeks to optimize the number of lanes on the bridge and improve cycling and pedestrian accommodations on the structure. 

This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities. MassDOT provides reasonable accommodations and/or language assistance free of charge upon request (e.g interpreters in
American Sign Language and languages other than English, live captioning, videos, assistive listening devices and alternate material formats), as available.
