Public Meeting Notice  Haverhill - Basiliere Bridge replacement

A Public Informational Meeting will be held to present the current stage of design for the proposed Private First Class (PFC) Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge replacement project in Haverhill, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the current stage of design for the proposed PFC Ralph T. Basiliere replacement project. All views and comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal:

The proposed project consists of a full replacement of the existing Basiliere Bridge. The proposed replacement includes two travel lanes in each direction, a shared use pathway on either side of the bridge, and is supported by arches, similar to the existing structure. Several possible vertical elements to provide architectural character to the structure at the level of the roadway deck will be shared with the community at this meeting.
