Purpose:

Open House - afternoon meeting

The purpose of this Open House is to solicit input on the proposed design concepts for HOLYOKE- WEST SPRINGFIELD- REHABILITATION OF ROUTE 5 (RIVERDALE ROAD), FROM I-91 (INTERCHANGE 13) TO MAIN STREET IN HOLYOKE & FROM ELM STREET TO NORTH ELM STREET IN WEST SPRINGFIELD (3.2 MILES) project. All views and comments made at the open house will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal:

The proposed project consists of roadway and sidewalk rehabilitation along Route 5 in Holyoke and West Springfield. The project consists of two sections. Full roadway rehabilitation is proposed on a 2.1 mile stretch between the I-91 Exit 13 Interchange in West Springfield north to the intersection of Main Street and Ingleside Street in Holyoke. Sidewalk construction and reconstruction is proposed on a 1 mile stretch between the intersection of East Elm Street and Riverdale Street in West Springfield north to the intersection of Elm Street and Riverdale Street.

Written statements and other exhibits in place of, or in addition to, comments made at the Open House regarding the proposed undertaking are to be submitted to Patricia A. Leavenworth, P.E., Chief Engineer, MassDOT, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116, Attention: Roadway Project Management, Project File No. 604209. Such submissions will also be accepted at the Open House.
