Public Meeting Notice Morrissey Boulevard Commission Meeting #1
Overview of Morrissey Boulevard Commission Meeting #1
Please be advised that Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt, Chair of the Morrissey Boulevard Commission, has announced the first meeting of the Commission.
Pursuant to §53 of Chapter 176 of the acts of 2022, the Legislature established the Commission to study and examine the transportation, resiliency, infrastructure and multimodal needs of the regional corridor of Morrissey Boulevard in the City of Boston.
The first meeting of the Commission will be held on November 28, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Southline Boston. Members of the public wishing to view and participate in the meeting remotely via Zoom may do so by registering in advance.
A sign-in sheet at the meeting location will be made available for those persons who wish to address the Commission in-person. Members of the public attending remotely may click on the "raise hand" icon during the public comment period of the meeting, which will signify to the Commission that they wish to be heard virtually. Alternatively, remote attendees may also type their name in the "Q&A" box to be added to the list of speakers. Please note that Zoom Webinar attendees will join in listen-only mode. They will be automatically muted and will not appear on video for the meeting. When a remote attendee is called on to address the Commission, the meeting organizer will unmute them for the purpose of providing their testimony.
This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities. MassDOT provides reasonable accommodations and/or language assistance free of charge upon request (e.g., interpreters in American Sign Language and languages other than English, live captioning, videos, assistive listening devices and alternate material formats), as available.
For accommodation or language assistance, please contact MassDOT’s Chief Diversity & Civil Rights Officer by phone at (857) 368-8580, TTD/TTY at (857) 266-0603, fax (857) 368-0602 or by email to MASSDOT.CivilRights@dot.state.ma.us. Requests should be made as soon as possible prior to the meeting, and for more difficult to arrange services including sign-language, CART or language translation or interpretation, MassDOT asks that requests be made at least ten business days before the meeting to ensure that we can meet any accommodations needed.
