Public Meeting Notice  Route 24 over Canton Street bridge replacement virtual public information meeting

What is happening?

The purpose of this meeting is to reintroduce the Route 24 over Canton Street Bridge Replacement project to the public before major construction begins in the spring of 2024. MassDOT will provide an overview of the project including construction schedule and traffic and community impacts. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer comments.

How will this affect you?

MassDOT will use Accelerated Bridge Construction methods to minimize impacts to the traveling public. There will be a weekend closure from April 5 to April 8 to replace the southbound bridge carrying Route 24 and another weekend closure from May 3 to May 6 to replace the northbound bridge. During these weekends, Canton Street below the bridge will be closed as well for public safety during active overhead construction.
