A Virtual Public Informational Meeting will be published on the Town of Salisbury website listed below to present the current design alternatives under consideration for the proposed roadway reconstruction and related work on Route 1A / North End Boulevard, from Route 1A / Beach Road to the New Hampshire State Line, in Salisbury, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this public informational meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to provide relevant feedback and express design concerns related to the proposed roadway reconstruction and related work proposed on the Route 1A design project from Beach Road to the New Hampshire State Line. All questions and comments submitted in response to the public informational meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible in the progression of the design.

Proposal:

The proposed project's purpose is to improve safety, operations, and connectivity for all users. Specifically, the project will enhance safety and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists by eliminating gaps in their network and improving mid-block crossing safety features. Bicycle accommodations such as a side path or a separated bike facility have been considered in accordance with the applicable design guides such as the MassDOT Separated Bike Guide. The project will analyze the existing drainage infrastructure and provide drainage and stormwater runoff control improvements to the roadway. The project will also update intersection geometry to MassDOT standards at Central Ave and Beach Road.

Written statements and other exhibits regarding the proposed undertaking are to be submitted to Patricia A. Mailed statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the public hearing transcript must be postmarked no later than ten (10) business days after the hearing is posted to the MassDOT website listed below.
