Public Meeting Notice SAPHE 2.0 virtual public hearing
Overview
This is a notice of public hearing concerning the State Action for Public Health Excellence, more commonly known as SAPHE 2.0.*
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (the “Department”), as part of the SAPHE 2.0 requirements, must hold three public hearings before November 2025. These virtual hearings will be used to identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of local public health services across the Commonwealth.
The Department seeks input from a diverse range of partners, including those working in local public health, community-based organizations, residents, and others. These hearings will not be adjudicatory in nature, but rather public forums for the presentation of any comments which may be relevant to the Special Commission on Local and Regional Public Health.
*SAPHE 2.0 elevates the capabilities of local public health agencies to provide sustainable and equitable public health services to build stronger, more resilient communities across the state.
