  14. OLD BUSINESS:
    1. Update on VA state home grant application (Sec Poppe)
    2. Update of admissions based on Refresh Program Completion (5-10 beds) (Mr. Lazo)
    3. Update of EMR vendor contract (Ms. Rego A&F/DVS)
    4. Update of positive recommendation to the Full Board to resolve to request Secretary Poppe convey to the Governor the “express will of the Board of Trustees of the Holyoke Soldiers Home is that the cost of out of state travel for staff attending the NASVH Conference be allowed to be paid from the operating budget” and to send a copy of said resolution to the Chairman of the Chelsea Soldiers Home. (Sec Poppe)
    5. Update on possibility to research and adopt Management Advisory Council (MAC) as used by US Dept. of Veterans Affairs as template for Veterans Organizations/Volunteer organizations and Community advocates Committee to further promote HSH Initiatives.  (Trustee Collins/Mr. Lazo)
    6. Status of Morris & Mahoney Council contract (Trustee Keefe/Ms. Boyle)
  15.  NEW BUSINESS:
    1. Payette new building presentation
    2. Status Update on Superintendent Position and potential courses of action to advertise & hire (Ms. Starr HHS/HR)
      1. Role of Board in process
      2. Use of Contracted Health profession Talent Agency via contract
      3. Timing of advertisement and challenges facing position
    3. Decision to close Outpatient Clinic
    4. Monthly updates provided to Board on progress of Outpatient Clinic patients placed with newly assigned Primary Health Care providers (Mr. Lazo)
    5. Monthly Update to Board of Trustees on closure of  Domiciliary by March 31, 2022
    6. Letter from Dignity Alliance Massachusetts and Disabled American Veterans Dept of Massachusetts requesting Board advocate for a “comprehensive demand analysis to determine current & future needs of veterans and families”, and “a planning process actively involving veterans, families, and persons with expertise in long term services, support  and care should be initiated’.  Process should consider the results of the demand study and analysis contained in GAO report; Veterans’ Use of Long Term Care Is Increasing and VA faces Challenges in meeting the Demand”.  (Trustee Keefe Submit letter for the Record/Minutes)
    7. Enter into Executive Session to discuss BE Smith challenges and lessons learned from previous Superintendent hiring process.
  16.  Executive Session
    1. Pursuant to MGL c. 30A, S21 (a) (8) to consider and nominate an applicant for the open position of Superintendent of the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home, the Chair has determined that the applicants’ privacy during the final screening and selection process requires executive session as to not to have a detrimental effect in final screening and selection of a candidate.
  17. Adjourn – The Open Session will not reconvene at the conclusion of the Regular Meeting’s Executive Session.
