Public Hearing Notice  Taunton - Design Public Hearing webinar and comment period

The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Bridge Replacement project. All views and comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Purpose:

The proposed project consists of demolition of the existing bridge structure and replacement of Bridge T-01-024, carrying Scadding Street over the Snake River and re-align/improve the profile of Scadding Street. The proposed structure will be a precast concrete superstructure supported by cantilevered abutments. A sidewalk will be provided on the west side of the roadway and bridge in accordance with applicable design guides.

Proposal:

A secure right-of-way is necessary for this project. Acquisitions in fee and permanent or temporary easements may be required. The city/Commonwealth of Massachusetts is responsible for acquiring all needed rights in private or public lands. MassDOT's policy concerning land acquisitions will be presented in the hearing.
