Public Meeting Notice Upton – resurfacing and related work on Route 140 and roundabout
Overview
A Public Informational Meeting will be held by MassDOT to discuss the proposed project in Upton, MA.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed project. All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
Proposal:
The proposed project consists of resurfacing and related work on Route 140, from 500 feet north of Williams Street to the intersection of Elm Street and Brook Street. The improvements include resurfacing, construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Grove Street, Church Street and Warren Street, minor geometric improvements at some side streets, reconstruction of sidewalk, and updated pavement markings and signage. Proposed bicycle lanes will be 5 feet wide with a 3-foot buffer except in the immediate vicinity of the proposed roundabout, where 10-foot-wide shared-use paths will be provided in accordance with applicable design guides.
