Find your local Emergency Management Director (EMD)

Every city and town in Massachusetts has an Emergency Management Director (EMD). Use this list to find the emergency management director in your community.

MEMA encourages residents to contact their local EMD to sign up for their community’s emergency notification system, learn about local hazards, plans, shelters and other community specific emergency information. Often the EMD is part of the fire or police departments, but in some communities, it is a standalone position or department.
