MassHealth Duplicate Remittance Advice Request

Remittance advices (RAs) must be downloaded from the Provider Online Service Center (POSC) within a six-month period from the date of the RA, after this timeframe, RAs are no longer available for download via the POSC.

All providers must maintain complete patient account records. Patient account records must include complete documentation of charges; indicate the date and amount of all debit and credit transactions; and support the appropriateness of the amounts billed and paid. For further information please see MassHealth regulations 130 CMR 450.205

MassHealth asks that providers limit requests for duplicative RAs as much as possible. Requests for duplicate RAs must come from the MassHealth provider or MassHealth enrolled group practice that submitted the claim(s) associated with the RA. Duplicate RAs will not be sent to any third-party vendors. Providers must provide justification below for this request.

As noted above, RAs must be downloaded from the POSC within six months and stored for future reference.
