Home and Community Based Services Waivers for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

These three Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers provide services and supports to adults with intellectual disabilities so they can live in their communities.

The MassHealth HCBS waivers for adults with intellectual disabilities are a way for certain MassHealth-eligible individuals to receive needed services in their home instead of in an institution. The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the three HCBS waivers for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Providers may enroll with the DDS to provide the services available under these three HCBS waivers.
