You must have a Health and Free Sale certificate or Export Statement from the Division of Food Protection (DFP) to comply with food processing facility inspection requirements.

What you need

To apply for a certificate, you will need to:

  • Complete and sign the entire online application form (found in the links below)
  • Submit a separate application for each food product
    • Note: Multiple flavors or varieties may be treated as one “product”

Fees

Pay by credit/debit card or electronic Check/ACH using the Environmental Health eLicensing Portal.

Certificate application fee $75 per certificate

How to apply

Go to the Environmental Health eLicensing Portal  and create an account, or log into your existing account. If this is your first time using this new portal, please visit BCEH eLicensing System User Guide.

This certificate is in accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 62C, Section 49A.

Certificates will not be granted if the licensing status of the food processor is not acceptable.
