We offer part-time internships during the fall and spring academic semesters, as well as the summer break. Our positions are paid, and housing is the responsibility of the intern. Currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and associate degree college students are eligible to apply. A personal interview may be required as the selection process advances.

Before applying, we encourage you to review the office descriptions and candidate criteria. Although we cannot guarantee placement in a specific office, applicants are encouraged to indicate their preferences to help our team identify a strong fit..

The Governor’s Office Internship Program takes place during three terms:

Fall (Sept. 1 – Dec. 30)
Application Period: June 5th - August 25th
Interview Period:  July – August
Internal Review and Placement: August 1st – August 31st
Acceptance Letters Sent: August 1st - August 31st 

Spring (Jan. 1 – May 31)
Application Period: October 22nd 
Interview Period:  October – December 
Internal Review and Placement: October – December 
Acceptance Letters Sent: November – December  

Summer (Jun. 1 – Aug. 31)
Application Period: February 20th – April 17th  
Interview Period: March 1st – April 17th 
Internal Review and Placement Period: April 1st – April 30th
Acceptance Letters Sent: April 17th – May 31st


Summer Orientation TBD
*Only undergraduate college students may apply for the summer term. 
**Summer interns must work a minimum of 15 to 20 hours a week.
