What you need

  • A resume (no more than one page).
  • A two-to-three-page writing sample (the sample can be something creative or written for a class).
  • At least one letter of recommendation (preferably from a current or former employer).

We offer part-time internships during the fall and spring academic semesters, as well as the summer break. Our positions are paid, and housing is the responsibility of the intern. Currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and associate degree college students are eligible to apply. A personal interview may be required as the selection process advances.

Before applying, we encourage you to review the office descriptions and candidate criteria. Although we cannot guarantee placement in a specific office, applicants are encouraged to indicate their preferences to help our team identify a strong fit.

The Governor’s Office Internship Program will follow the below dates:

Summer (June 8th - August 28th)
Application Period: February 2nd – March 20th
Interview Period: March – April
Internal Review and Placement Period: April – May 15th
Acceptance Letters Sent: Rolling Admissions April - May
