What you need
- A resume (no more than one page).
- A two-to-three-page writing sample (the sample can be something creative or written for a class).
- At least one letter of recommendation (preferably from a current or former employer).

We offer part-time internships during the fall and spring academic semesters, as well as the summer break. Our positions are paid, and housing is the responsibility of the intern. Currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and associate degree college students are eligible to apply. A personal interview may be required as the selection process advances.
Before applying, we encourage you to review the office descriptions and candidate criteria. Although we cannot guarantee placement in a specific office, applicants are encouraged to indicate their preferences to help our team identify a strong fit.
The Governor’s Office Internship Program will follow the below dates:
Fall (Sept 8th - December 18th)
Application Period: July 6th – August 7th
Interview Period: July – August
Internal Review and Placement Period: August 17th - August 21st
Acceptance Letters Sent: Rolling Admissions until August 28th
