State agencies performing a homeland security function may apply for funding through the State-Share Grant Program.

The Office of Grants and Research administers the State Share Homeland Security Grant Program. This program aims to fulfill, sustain and expand capability gaps to ensure the security of the Commonwealth.

Eligibility

Massachusetts state government agencies and authorities, state institutions of higher education and nonprofit organizations that support state homeland security needs are eligible to apply.

Improves ability of first response units, towns, regions, etc. to share information Interoperable Communications Investment Proposal (ICIP)
Requires the support of another agency Letter(s) of Partnership Support

Entails installation/mounting of equipment, digging and/or disturbing the ground, various training and exercise activities, etc. 

Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation Review (EHP) 

AND

Massachusetts Historical Commission and/or Local Historic Commission Review
