What you need

  • A public employee is anyone who works for a state, county, or municipal entity.
  • Police, fire, and EMS departments must report injuries that occur to their employees.
  • Serious incidents—such as amputations, loss of an eye, hospitalization, or fatalities—require immediate reporting.
