What you need
State 911 does NOT handle requests for 911 call recordings. You must contact either the Massachusetts State Police or your local city or town police for call recordings.
If the 911 call was made from a cell phone:
- Contact Massachusetts State Police for the call recording.
If the 911 call was made from a landline:
- Contact the local police in the city or town where the call was placed for a call recording.

- Personnel records
- Legislative records
- Lease and facility management records
- Grant awards, guidelines, and forms
- Notices and communications to service providers

- Administrative letters, memos, calendars, and schedules

Note: In person requests cannot be the subject of an appeal.

Note: Phone requests will only be accepted at the discretion of the Records Access Officer.
