What you need
The Seasonal Communities Grant Program (SCGP) is a formula-based grant available to municipalities statutorily designated as Seasonal Communities that have taken a municipal vote to accept the designation in accordance with guidance provided to Seasonal Communities on December 12, 2024. Funds will award a variety of activities related to implementing the Seasonal Communities law and/or supporting communities' unique housing and community needs.
SCGP Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)

- The NOFA outlines eligible municipalities, the grant formula, and eligible uses of funds.
Eligible Municipalities
To be eligible to receive FY27 SCGP funds, municipalities must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible for the Seasonal Communities Designation, as outlined by 2024 Mass. Acts, Chapter 150 (An Act Relative to the Affordable Homes Act), or additional communities eligible to accept the Seasonal Communities Designation;
- Meet the standards outlined in the guidance promulgated by EOHLC on December 12, 2024; and
- Have accepted the Seasonal Communities Designation and have notified EOHLC by 5:00PM EST on July 30, 2026.
How to apply
Eligible communities must submit a FY27 SCGP Project Proposal Application Form to be considered for this grant. The Application Form opens by 12:00PM EST on August 3, 2026, and closes at 11:59PM EST on August 28, 2026. Eligible municipalities may submit the FY27 SCGP Project Proposal Application Form multiple times if applying for multiple projects, up to the total amount available per the grant formula.

EOHLC will host a SCGP guidance webinar on June 16, 2026, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM EST. Interested attendees must register to attend the guidance webinar.
FY27 SCGP Optional Feedback Form
Eligible Seasonal Communities may submit an optional FY27 SCGP Project Feedback Form to request general feedback on project proposals between June 17, 2026, and August 21, 2026. Program staff will provide feedback via email after a Feedback Form is submitted.
