What you need
The Seasonal Communities Grant Program (SCGP) is a formula-based grant available to municipalities statutorily designated as Seasonal Communities that have taken a municipal vote to accept the designation in accordance with guidance provided to Seasonal Communities on December 12, 2024. Funds will award a variety of activities related to implementing the Seasonal Communities law and/or supporting communities' unique housing and community needs.
SCGP Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)
- The FY26 SCGP Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is now live.
- The NOFA outlines eligible municipalities, the grant formula, and eligible uses of funds.
Eligible Municipalities
- Communities that took a municipal vote to accept the Seasonal Communities designation at the time of the FY26 SCGP NOFA posting on COMMBUYS are eligible for the SCGP.
- As of the time of posting, eligible communities are: Aquinnah, Chatham, Chilmark, Eastham, Edgartown, Gosnold, Nantucket, Oak Bluffs, Orleans, Provincetown, Tisbury, Truro, Wellfleet, and West Tisbury.
- All other statutorily designated communities that have not yet accepted the Seasonal Communities designation by a vote of their municipal legislative body may be eligible for the FY27 round of funding if they vote to accept the designation.
How to apply
Eligible communities must submit a SCGP Project Proposal Applications Form to be considered for this grant. The Application Form closes at 11:59PM on January 9, 2026. Eligible municipalities may submit one or more SCGP Project Proposal Application Form per project up to the total amount available per the grant formula.

Eligible Seasonal Communities are highly recommended to register to attend a one-hour guidance webinar on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM EST. Registration to attend this Zoom webinar is required.
SCGP Application Optional Office Hours
Eligible Seasonal Communities may request to schedule optional office hours for basic feedback on project eligibility Between December 10, 2025, and January 6, 2026. To schedule a 30-minute optional office hour, eligible Seasonal Communities may email Phil Dearing, Senior Policy Manager, at philip.dearing@mass.gov.
